Arts Progress: Mid-2017 update

Arts Progress: Mid-2017 update

It’s been a great 2017 so far, with lots of projects completed, and more on the horizon. Here’s a brief recap:

Projects we’ve recently finished

Mixed Blood TheatreSafe at Home
We managed marketing and audience logistics for this site-specific theater production, staged at the St. Paul Saints stadium.

BrownbodyQuiet As It’s Kept
Modern dance, professional ice skaters, and a collaboration with the legendary Urban Bush Women, all telling stories of the African diaspora. As project managers, we covered logistics, marketing, fundraising, and production support.

The O’ShaughnessyWomen of Substance Festival
For the second year, we did project management and fundraising for the Women of Substance Festival, featuring Lizzo, Sharon Isbin, and anti-trafficking activist Rachel Lloyd.

Forecast Public Arts
Arts Progress worked with their Salesforce database, updating it from a previous version, adding functionality, and onboarding new users.

Executive Search
Arts Progress helped The Playwrights’ Center and Frank Theatre identify fantastic managing directors – Kathleen Conroy joined Frank as their first managing director in March, and Robert Chelimsky started at Playwrights in April.

Upcoming projects and new initiatives

Career consulting
As an expansion of our executive search work, we’ve started offering assistance to job seekers, helping them prepare their resume and cover letters to better highlight their strengths. We also compiled a list of nonprofit job sites, to help streamline and focus searches.

TigerLion Arts – Nature
We’re thrilled to return to this outdoor walking play about Emerson and Thoreau. This time, we’re supporting their performances in Minneapolis, Chaska and Concord MA with marketing and fundraising.

S.O.S. Theater – Roller Derby Queen
We’re handing press and marketing for this new play by Michele Lepsche, performing at the new Gremlin Theatre in November.
In addition to that, we’re in discussion with clients for projects that aren’t public yet, and our grant writing work is ongoing.

It’s been a great year so far, with lots left to come. If there’s a project you think we can help with, we’d love to hear from you. Reach us at info@artsprogress.com for project management, executive search, grant-writing, Salesforce, or other nonprofit needs.
